WHAT IS THE FRIENDLY PERSUASION RADIO SHOW?

We only play vinyl.

Friendly Persuasion features the spinning styles of screaming birds in a tropical forest, soundtrack power packed action hitters, drowsy ambient ‘get your butt into bed’ mood mosaics, drugged out hippie masterpieces, prog chants for dragon fighting kings and queens, down home country jigs, your mother playing piano, and a cross-section of the animal kingdom.

Every genre is welcome for there is something good in every genre. The best way to say what we play is… we play what we like and what we want to share.

Beginning with show #250, Friendly Persuasion moved to a vinyl only format. The only selections that are not vinyl are show IDs by various friends.

WHERE HAS THE SHOW AIRED?

The radio show got it’s start on Pirate Radio in Seattle in 1999. Later that year it moved to Antenna Internet Radio. Since then, the show has broadcasted off and on for over a decade on various stations. Some carrying the show for many episodes while others, special one-off shows were created. For example… in 2003 a segment for Solid Steel (edited by Strictly Kev), in 2004 a high school band episode for WFMU’s Listener Hour, and in 2007 twenty short episodes were produced for the Lounge King radio show.
