WHAT WAS FRIENDLY PERSUASION?

Friendly Persuasion was a radio show that featured the spinning styles of screaming birds in a tropical forest, soundtrack power packed action hitters, drowsy ambient ‘get your butt into bed’ mood mosaics, drugged out hippie masterpieces, prog chants for dragon fighting kings and queens, down home country jigs, your mother playing piano, and a cross-section of the animal kingdom.

Every genre was welcome for there is something good in every genre. The best way to say what we played is… we played what we liked and what we wanted to share. Beginning with show #250 in 2010 Friendly Persuasion moved to a vinyl only format. The only selections played that were not vinyl were show IDs by various friends.

CAN I LISTEN TO THE SHOW?

Yes! You can now listen to the show on Mixcloud,
http://www.mixcloud.com/friendlypersuasion/
As we slowly add past shows to Mixcloud you can listen to them over at Mixcloud.
We have a lot to upload, working on it, slowly.

Our good friends at Audioclash have a small number of shows available for download as MP3s, http://www.audioclash.com/Friendly-Persuasion/

And that thing about new shows… we shut it down. The show has officially ended and there are no permanent archives for past shows online. We only have a small handful of recorded shows saved and anything broadcast prior to 2002 was never recorded as it was all streaming live via (showing our age here) RealAudio.
